Reviving Resilience: Wadi Shees

Wadi Shees, -
Endangered Species

About the Event:

Join our co-founding partner Emirates Nature-WWF in Wadi Shees for an event aimed at addressing the impact of recent extreme weather and strengthening rural community resilience. In response to the widespread extreme weather conditions, we are mobilizing our community volunteering efforts to enhance conservation work and build the resilience of local rural communities. Our main focus during the event will be:

  • Implementing restoration efforts on the Falaj channels damaged by floods, ensuring the continuous flow of fresh water.
  • Rehabilitating the nature trail sections affected by the recent extreme weather, preserving the natural habitat.
  • Dedicate our efforts to clearing debris and accumulated waste caused by recent extreme weather events.
  • Establishing measures to address immediate threats and lay the groundwork for long-term resilience and sustainability in the area.

This event presents a unique opportunity for us to extend a helping hand to the wider community in their journey towards recovery. We extend a warm invitation to all individuals to join us in this collective effort of community rehabilitation. Together, we will work tirelessly to rid the area of litter and debris, fostering a renewed sense of harmony between nature and humanity.
