Masterclass: World Habitat Day

🌍 What if a safe, affordable home is about more than just four walls? 🏠

This World Habitat Day, Connect with Nature invites you to an online session exploring this year’s theme:

✨ Adequate Housing for All ✨

A home should be safe, affordable, connected to essential services and located within reach of work, schools and healthcare. Yet more than 3 billion people worldwide lack adequate housing, while over 1.1 billion people live in informal settlements and slums. 🌎

Whether you care about sustainable cities 🌱, inclusive communities 🤝 or how UAE neighbourhoods can adapt to a changing climate ☀️, this session will offer fresh perspectives on the role housing plays in everyday life.

What to expect:

🏡 Understand What Makes a Home Adequate: Explore the seven elements of adequate housing, including affordability, safety, secure tenure, access to services and location.

🏙️ Explore Housing and Sustainable Cities: Discover how housing connects to health, education, equality, transport and Sustainable Development Goal 11.

🌿 See the UAE Connection: Learn how climate-ready design, efficient cooling, water-saving buildings and integrated communities can support stronger neighbourhoods across the UAE.

💬 Connect with Peers: Join young people and families interested in creating safer, more inclusive and sustainable communities for everyone.
