About the Event:

Sprint for Change!

Sprint for Change is our exciting summer series designed to get you learning, exploring, and taking action for nature!

Through hands-on workshops and challenges focused on climate, pollution, and biodiversity, you’ll dive into key issues aligned with global IUCN goals and discover how YOU can make a difference! This is your chance to build your knowledge, connect with others, and take action that truly matters. Whether you're joining online or in person, each session brings you one step closer to creating a positive impact.

Take part in any 3 workshops and/or online sessions, and complete 2 challenges to earn a certificate and be recognised for your dedication to a better planet.

About the Challenge

Nature doesn’t grow overnight, but with a little care, patience, and the right plants, you can watch life unfold before your eyes.

This challenge invites you to connect with nature on a personal level by nurturing growth from the ground up. Whether it’s a windowsill, balcony, backyard, or school planter—every little green patch counts.

Your mission:

Plant a native seed or sapling of your choice and document its journey!

  1. Choose a native plant or tree seed/sapling (Such as Ghaf and Shu'a)

  2. Plant it in soil (any pot or patch will do).

  3. Take a photo every day for 10 days to track its growth.

  4. Create a timelapse of your plant’s progress.

Submission Guidelines:

Each entry should include:

  • Your name and email

  • Challenge title: Seed Timelapse

  • Upload your final submission (timelapse photo)

  • Optional: Instagram handle if you'd like to be tagged!

Tips and Suggestions:

  • Choose native plants that are well-suited to your local environment.

  • Use the same angle and lighting each day for your photos.

  • Reflect on:

    • What changes did you observe?

    • How did the process make you feel?

    • Why do you think planting native species is important?

There might be a chance for your work to be featured on our social media platforms, especially if your submission is creative, consistent, or visually impactful.
